Mark Asher was once co-host of the #1 sports radio talk show in Arizona. He made up half of the “Gambo and Ash Show”, the local drive-time afternoon radio program where local sports dominated the airwaves for the drivers of Arizona.
It’s unheard of for a radio show to last 5 years in today’s world and the Gambo and Ash show went on for 12 years. But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Their radio show was #1, Mark was living out his dream, and life was great – until one afternoon when he came in and was fired in a blink of an eye.
I asked Mark to come on the show to share what it’s like to go from #1 and on top of the world, to then having your life completely flipped upside down in a blink of an eye.
However, just like every good story, there is a happy ending that Mark never imagined happening.
