My Guest on the Show…
Ben Arredondo – Firefighter and Founder of The Envision Real Estate Team in Phoenix, Arizona.
For those of you who didn’t know, I am not only the founder/creator of Money Peach Blog, Money Peach Podcast, and Awesome Money Course, I am also a full-time firefighter in Phoenix, Arizona. I mention this because my guest on the show today is also a full-time firefighter and a very successful real estate agent in the Phoenix area.
Some of his accolades are:
Top 40 under 40 Real Estate Agents 4 Years in a Row
$30 Million in Homes Sold in 2016
Ranked #31 out of 40,000 agents across Arizona
Featured in multiple Firefighter Calendars Pin Ups 🙂
I bring Ben on the show to tell his story. He comes from extremely humble beginnings and has built up a real estate business that is simply impressive. He has a very unique view on debt, the power of paying cash, on saving for retirement, and learning to live on less than you make.
Some of my favorite takeaways from this episode:
“Living within your means right now can really set yourself up for success later down the road”
“My parents told me if you have a credit card, you pay it off every month. You pay cash and you only buy things you can afford and you never have a car payment.
“It doesn’t make sense to pay interest on something that goes down in value”
“If you are going to make money, you should always save and invest it somewhere”
“If you surround yourself by the right people, with the right mentors, really good things can happen”
“You have to just start doing it. You can figure out the details later just as long as you start to creating a tornado of action. If you put enough work in, you will figure out the details along the way. If you are sitting waiting for the perfect plan, you’re probably going to fail. Perfection doesn’t necessarily exist.”
“The more mistakes you make and the quicker you make them, the quicker you are going to have success”
“My parents never taught me how to make money. They taught me how to take care of the people around me and then the money followed”
Now, I have a few questions for you all…
